Paulina Assmann

Physicist, PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Concepción, expert advisor on Quantum Technologies for the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation of Chile, and CEO of SeQure Quantum.

Former Regional Secretary of Science for Chile’s central-southern macrozone, Dr. Paulina Assmann has led key initiatives, including the establishment of Centinela, the measurement of SARS-CoV-2, and Chile’s wastewater drug surveillance system

In 2022, she was recognized among the 100 Women Leaders by El Mercurio and recently received the Outstanding Woman in Technology Entrepreneurship distinction at the Women Leaders in Technological Innovation awards, granted by the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) in collaboration with the Chilean Network of Technology Managers.

Her career reflects a trajectory of scientific excellence, innovation, and significant contributions to science, technology, and public service in Chile. As Co-Founder and CEO of SeQure Quantum, the first quantum technology company in Latin America, she has leveraged her expertise and leadership to position the region at the forefront of the technological revolution.
