Alexandra Le Cam

Prior to working for Point72, I spent 17 years at HSBC. Being such a large global organization, HSBC offered tremendous opportunities to learn and the ability to try various technology roles in different countries. For the first seven years, I worked as a software developer on the trading floor in equity derivatives. I initially started working in the Paris office, then spent a year in New York, before moving back to Europe to work in the London office. Then from 2013 I got the opportunity to help lead the new equities electronic trading platform build internally.

In 2019, I was given the opportunity to build out HSBC’s technology presence in Poland. That was supposed to be a two-year assignment, but I ended up spending four years in Kraków, heading markets technology there. We significantly expanded the department, and I remained heavily involved in equities technology.

I moved to Warsaw and joined Point72 as Head of Equities Technology Poland over a year ago, supporting regional teams in Poland and partnering closely with senior management in New York. In February 2025 I was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, Poland.
