Joanna Lange

Joanna is an IT expert at Roche, specializing in bioinformatics and MLOps. She holds a Master's degree in Molecular Design and Bioinformatics from the University of Warsaw and further developed her expertise as a PhD student at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands. During her PhD, she investigated topics related to protein sequence and structure alignment, including creating software for the multiple sequence alignment of intrinsically disordered proteins and tools for assessing the quality of protein alignments.

Later on, at Bio-Prodict, she was involved in the development of the 3DM systems platform, which facilitates drug design and protein engineering. This included the development of 3DM systems for COVID proteins and a software suite for antibody engineering.

Since joining Roche in 2021, Joanna has been leading various teams in areas ranging from genomics to DevOps and MLOps. Her work focuses on aiding scientists in their research by developing scalable and robust ML/AI solutions.
