Joanna Lach

Joanna is an IT professional at Roche, having transitioned her career in 2023. She now specializes in data management, working with Snowflake, dbt, and Python programming.

During her Master's studies in computational chemistry, specifically in the field of computational quantum chemical studies, she focused on small molecules, their interactions in clusters, and their interactions with their environment. Her Ph.D. work in physics at Vilnius University included a quantum chemical description of heterocyclic molecules in cryogenic matrices, with an explicit quantum chemical description of the experimental model.

Passionate about learning and sharing knowledge, Joanna thrives in dynamic environments. She has a keen eye for spotting connections in processes. As a mentor in the DestinationIT program's Data Engineering track, she helps guide mentees through career transitions into IT.
