Sophie Taylor

Sophie joined HSBC in May 2024 as the Chief Operating Officer for Group Technology, (now the Group Chief Information Office) leading on all Operational aspects for GCIO including Chief of Staff activities, Workforce planning & Execution, Financials & Budget oversight and Technology Portfolio Management responsibilities.

Before joining HSBC, Sophie spent 6 years at Citigroup, her last role as the Global Head of Markets Operations leading a 3,500 global Operations Organisation responsible for all post trade activities for the Capital Markets businesses including Middle Office, Trade Settlements, Asset Servicing and Margin Operations. Prior to Citigroup, Sophie spent over 15 years at Goldman Sachs in a variety of roles within Operations in London, New York and India.

Sophie holds a BA Honors in International Business & Modern Languages (German & French) and spent one year of her studies as an Intern for Daimler Chrysler in Stuttgart, Germany and Auchan in Lille, France.

Sophie lives in Cranbrook, Kent with her husband and son, who is 12 years old and has a passion for Travel and Horses
