Anna Sands

Anna influences the shape of environmental policy in Poland and the European Union, leading a team of experts in biodiversity, climate, and agriculture. Her team shapes environmental law in Poland by participating in the work of parliamentary committees, governmental working groups, and conducting educational campaigns. Anna seeks  collaborative approaches, building cross-sectoral coalitions, including with farmers and business representatives. She regularly speaks in the media, co-creating the debate on environmental policy. She is one of the 40 leaders chosen to participate in this year’s School for Leaders (Szkoła Liderstwa im. Zbigniewa Pełczyńskiego). Previously, she worked at WWF UK and in research institutes in Poland and the United Kingdom. She graduated in law and social sciences from the University of Oxford.
