Ewelina Kaatz-Drzeżdżon

Dr. Ewelina Kaatz-Drzeżdżon is employed at the Polish Space Agency where she is involved in topics related to secure satellite communications for public administration and cybersecurity. She coordinates the implementation of the Horizon Europe project GEXTRECS by the Agency, which is related to the use of governmental satellite communications (GOVSATCOM) in extreme disaster and crisis situations. Her earlier professional experience focused on sustainable development, both the environmental and socio-economic dimensions. For many years she worked for the Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Gdańsk, overseeing numerous large-scale investment projects related to water purification and wastewater management. Apart from accounting for their environmental soundness, she also conducted financial analysis and credit risk of investment projects. Dr. Kaatz-Drzeżdżon also participated in international R&B projects related to solid waste management and circular economy. Her educational background spans environmental sciences and financial management, culminating in a PhD in sustainable construction from the University of Cape Town.
