Wrocław University of Science and Technology

Urszula Czajkowska focuses on modern methods in training and rehabilitation. As a PhD student at Wroclaw University of Technology, she has combined interdisciplinary knowledge gained during her studies in physiotherapy and biomedical engineering, serving as a bridge between the worlds of technology and medicine. Her area of interest is the use of virtual reality to support rehabilitation, as well as motivating people to exercise through forms of gamification. Since 2022, she has been testing the applicability of VR in the rehabilitation of various audiences, including orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, and pediatric patients. A key component of her work is advanced movement analysis and quantitative assessment of exercise precision, dedicated to both rehabilitation and sports training optimization needs. What's more, her innovative analyses lay the foundation for the development of future artificial intelligence systems capable of autonomously assessing movement quality. She has repeatedly presented the results of her work at international conferences and has published in journals in the field of wide-ranging biomechanics.
