Agnieszka Mirkowska

Dr. Eng. Agnieszka Mirkowska is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering Fundamentals, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Wrocław University of Science and Technology. She holds a Ph.D. in technical sciences with a specialization in electrical engineering. Her research focuses on the interdisciplinary field of electrical materials science, with particular emphasis on piezoelectric and electret materials. She investigates their functional properties and explores their innovative applications in electro-mechanical transducers, energy harvesting systems, and biomedical engineering.

Dr. Mirkowska has authored and co-authored numerous scientific papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and she is a laureate of the Miniatura 8 program of the National Science Centre (NCN), Poland.

In addition to her research activities, she is engaged in academic teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Mirkowska is also involved in various outreach initiatives aimed at encouraging young people to pursue careers in STEM fields.
