Since childhood, I’ve always been more fascinated by hammers than dolls. While others played house, I preferred to build one. That passion quickly turned into a plan: first a technical high school focused on construction, then a job on a construction site, and part-time studies at the Warsaw University of Technology. With every step, I became more convinced that this was the right path - even if it wasn’t the easiest one for women.

When I first started working on-site, my presence raised eyebrows - as if I had walked into the wrong place. Things have started to change, but not as fast as you might expect. But I’ve found my own way to deal with it - with a smile, a question, and calm confidence. I know that competence has no gender, and that determination, self-distance, and a sense of humor are the best tools in any professional’s arsenal.

Being a construction engineer takes toughness, boldness, and courage - and that’s exactly why so many women thrive in this field. I want to be one of those who prove that construction isn’t just about concrete and steel - it’s also a space where passion, precision, and responsibility apply, no matter who’s wearing the helmet.
