Alicja is a founder of Femicide in Poland Project – first polish think-tank tackling with the phenomen of fatal gender-based violence. The project is a fruit of her PhD thesis which she conducted at Law Faculty at University of Warsaw. She investigated the existence of femicide data gap in Poland and Spain and the role that femtech’s could play in bridging this gap. She created the first virtual database in Poland dedicated particularly to gender-based killings of women – Polish Femicide Map (Polska Mapa Kobietobójstw). She presented her case-study results during various scientific seminars and conferences in Bucharest (Romania), Cadiz (Spain) and Mexico. In the upcoming months the project will be presented at universities in Portsmouth (UK), Athens (Greece) and Washington (US). She’s the author of various publications on femicides and gender-based violence. In June 2025 she released the first polish report on femicides „Femicide in Poland. Case study results for the years 2017-2023”. Professionally a lawyer-linguist, latin americanist and self-employed entrepreneur running her own business as a spanish sworn translator and interpreter with license in Poland and Spain.
