Dagmara Stefańska

Professor at the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research, Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław, a chemist specializing in the design, synthesis, and investigation of the physicochemical properties of innovative luminescent materials. Her research finds application in modern LED lighting, photovoltaics, and luminescent thermometry. She passionately combines fundamental research with applied science, seeking new solutions for the technologies of the future. She has led five research projects funded by institutions including the National Science Centre (NCN) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR).

She is a laureate of the prestigious Scholarship of the Minister of Education and Science for Outstanding Young Scientists. Co-author of nearly 70 scientific publications and four patents. For years, she has been inspiring young people to discover the beauty of chemistry by organizing spectacular science shows. She serves as an Ambassador and Mentor in the "Dziewczyny do Nauki" program, supporting young female researchers in pursuing careers in STEM fields.
