Magdalena Szechyńska-Hebda

Dr habil. eng. Magdalena Szechyńska-Hebda, DSc, is a Professor of the W. Szafer Institute of Botany, Polish Academy of Sciences. She is a biologist with a basis in agriculture and a passion for technology. She has extensive international experience, having conducted research and teaching in countries including Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Taiwan. Her work focuses on plant resistance mechanisms, environmental management, and the application of artificial intelligence in agriculture. She also explores advanced technologies such as environmental monitoring using UAVs, spectral, thermal, and fluorescence imaging, and the development of eco-friendly biomaterials. She is the author of several patents, leader of numerous national and international research projects, and an active member of scientific committees and councils of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates innovative technologies into biological and environmental sciences.
