Alicja Skarburska

Alicja has over 14 years of combined technical and leadership experience in cybersecurity. At HSBC, she leads the cybersecurity strategy for Technology and Global Functions. Previously, she managed one of the largest outsourced Security Operations Centers, served as Deputy CISO, and led the Cybercrime Expertise and Response Team for a major European financial institution.

She holds an MSc from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice and several cybersecurity and technical certifications. Her areas of focus include incident response, digital forensics, cybersecurity service development, and strategy enhancement for large enterprises.

Alicja has helped build multiple Security Operations Centers and improve security postures in global organizations. She promotes cyber awareness by leading virtual communities, mentoring (with a focus on women in cyber), and lecturing at the University of Economy and Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Kraków University.
